Business Plan Presentation

After you have fleshed out your business plan you will have the
information you will need for a slide presentation (e.g., PowerPoint).
This 12-slide presentation conveys the most important aspects of your
business in a short time. More sophisticated investors, such as angel
investors and venture capitalists, will typically not look at your
written business plan until they have seen your slide presentation.Presentation (MS PowerPoint or equivalent)Create
a 12-slide presentation (13 with reference slide). Follow the outline
on pp. 343–346 for the critical slides of your presentation and their
placement.Hints: Include the highlights of your
elevator pitch, which shows that you understand your business. The
elevator pitch is a concise description of your company—its product,
market, competitive advantages, and so on. Whether pitching your
business to an investor or describing it to a potential connection at a
networking event, you need to be able explain your business succinctly
to someone in the amount of time it would take to ride up a few floors
in an elevator. Use the worksheet in the text (p. 362 | Your “Elevator Pitch”) to develop your elevator pitch.Hints: You
must limit your presentation to twelve slides (12 is the max). You do
not want to overwhelm your audience with too many slides or bore them
with information they already know.Cite three (3) resources you have used to complete the exercise.Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page lengthI’ve attached Assignments 1, 2, and 3 for your reference. Below are further instructions from the professor:For assignment #4, you have to prepare a PowerPoint Presentation which includes 12 Critical Slides and a list of references as a last slide. For
the 12 CRITICAL SLIDES, PLEASE FOLLOW THE SLIDES IN TERMS OF TITLE AND
INFORMATION EXACTLY AS THEY ARE PRESENTED ON PAGES 342 – 347 but
specific to your company. Below each slide is a description of what you
should include on each slide. Be sure to include enough details. YOU
CAN ONLY HAVE 12 CRITICAL SLIDES, I REPEAT 12 CRITICAL SLIDES, EXACTLY
AS THEY ARE IN THE TEXT, IN THE EXACT ORDER, EXACT TITLE, RELATED TO
YOUR COMPANY. The text describes the 12 Critical Slides, which is what
you have to do, in relation to your company. If you find that
you can’t fit all your information on one slide, please edit it. When I
worked as an analyst, our team often had briefings to senior managers.
For those briefings, we were always told how many slides we had to
prepare, the exact order of the slides, and exactly what should be on
each slide. So, this is not unusual.VERY
IMPORTANT: THE ASSIGNMENT ALSO REQUIRES YOU TO PREPARE A VERY BRIEF
REFERENCE LIST, WITH AT LEAST 3 REFERENCES. PLEASE INCLUDE A FINAL
REFERENCES SLIDE. THIS WILL BE SLIDE #13, WITH THE TITLE OF
“REFERENCES”. On this “References” slide, please include 4 or more
references that you used to develop your business plan. You can pick
your 4 most important sources or references. I mention
“4” sources/references because, according to the grading rubric,
including only 3 references will only “meet the expectations” and not
earn the maximum points. Four or more references will exceed the
expectations and earn the maximum points.SO, TO
RECAP, YOUR PRESENTATION WILL INCLUDE 13 SLIDES. THE FIRST 12 WILL BE
THE CRITICAL SLIDES AND THE LAST SLIDE, SLIDE #13, WILL BE A
“REFERENCES” SLIDE THAT WILL INCLUDE AT LEAST 4 REFERENCES THAT YOU USED
TO DEVELOP YOUR BUSINESS PLAN.

NAB Company Choice and its SWOT Analysis
My NAB Company
Undoubtedly, Life’s Expressions is a NAB company which deals with the processing of
RAW natural juice. It uses fresh fruits and greens to make the commercial fresh juice. Human
bodies are highly responsive to what they take in henceforth the name choice. The word life here
offers the statement that feeding the body with clean things will ensure more years on earth.
Expression is the description of how the juice is extracted from the excretion of all natural RAW
ingredients.
Mission Statement and Components
Primarily, Life’s Expression is a fictional juice fruit company that majors in supporting
the intake of healthy fluids in the body. Most people go for unhealthy drinks such as chemically
processed fruits and alcoholic beverages which in return impacts negatively on their bodies. My
products are a concoction of natural and readily available products. Fruits and groceries can
easily be found on farms and homesteads. By purchasing them, I will be helping the community
as they will find a market for their products. Additionally, they will act as a market for my
products as a return. After production, the waste products will be used in other ways such
feeding the cows, goats, and sheep. The processing will generate income to the surrounding as
an added advantage. The fresh and natural juice will also be taken in by all people. Besides, this
will include the old, children and the sick. The company will enrich and strengthen the lives of
most people in the community through the provision of the health juice which will as well be in
variety (Hossain, & Hossain, 2015).
COMPANY DESCRIPTION AND ITS SWOT ANALYSIS
3
Trends
Among the primary reasons behind why I decided to choose the said NAB are the
simplicity, health benefits of the fresh juice to all kinds of people whether old or young and the
easiness and simplicity in processing and distribution. The recipes for making different types of
extracts are so many offering a variety of options in the processing. After making the juices,
5litre containers are required to transport the juice to different places and most importantly sell it
door to door. The fresh raw juice does not need so much advertising since the customers look
for it. Therefore, the juice has a ready market. In support to this, most sick people are always
advised to take the juice on a daily basis for strength gain. Parents are still encouraged to give
their kids the juice too for efficient growth. The processing of the juice is secure as there are
only a few devices needed such as the blender and juicer. Therefore, the processing is cost
effective and easy to start. The most important critical issue is that the juice is healthy to people
and henceforth will attract more alcohol drinkers. Fresh juice offers a right amount of vitamin in
the body and thus can be prescribed over the vitamin pills.
Strategic Position
Life’s Expression targets at being the leading fresh juice company in the area. For that to
get achieved, Life’s Expression will ensure that it is meeting its clients satisfactory. Additionally,
the company will make sure that it follows the code of ethics strictly. Honesty will be an
essential element whereby additional chemicals or sweeteners will not be used. The production
will remain naturally pure, and as a result, the juice will stay healthy and uncontaminated. Most
alcoholic drinks are made of chemicals. My products will contain no chemicals and as a result
will not be addictive.
COMPANY DESCRIPTION AND ITS SWOT ANALYSIS
4
Overview of My Company’s Distribution Channels
Most importantly, Life’s expression will be making its sales directly to the consumers.
The production will entail a sizeable room at which the consumers will be coming for the juice.
It will be sold in clear plastic containers. Fresh juice cannot get a long-term storage and therefore
the clients will be getting it when still clean. Also, the company will have few salespersons who
will be delivering the juice to people. It is because not all people can be able to arrive at the room
and purchase from there. For instance, the old and the sick cannot be able to move and acquire it
from the stores (Hossain, & Hossain, 2015).
Risks That My Business Could Face
The business is at a risk of competition, regulations and lastly products availability. Fruits
grow with seasons. Whenever the season is low maybe for a particular specific fruit, then the
production of that type of juice will not be possible. Additionally, most consumers are used to
chemically made juices and alcoholic beverages and therefore converting them to preferring my
products might be a bit difficult. The organization will be required to possess an excellent
number of licenses from different governmental bodies such as health and food regulatory
bodies. Acquisition of those documents might be a bit expensive. Moreover, whenever the fruits
purchased from the producers are unhealthy, then the juice will not be suitable for consumption
(Moghaddaszadeh et al., 2015).

Target Market
Life Expressions is a unique business that deals with the processing of RAW natural
juice. The company mainly utilizes the fresh fruits and greens to produce healthy fresh juice. Its
suitable location is Seattle, WA. According to the United States Census Bureau, Seattle had an
estimated population of 704,352 as of 2016. As it strives to promote healthy standards of living,
the company targets all persons in the community, both young and the old. Furthermore, the
company targets all household units in Seattle. The total housing units of the area are 315,950.
The city is anticipating at least 70,000 housing units citywide with the 20-year planning period
that began in 2015 and is expected complete in 2035. Seattle is located in the Washington, a
metropolitan area in the United States. Moreover, the company targets high school and college
students.

Market Competition
The primary competition of Life Expressions in Seattle is the existing number of sellers
of the market. The Companies in this category also offer natural juice and with an established
nature in the region. As a benefit, the companies do not have specific stores but only sell
through retailers in packages. The Companies lack direct contact with customers thus, they
cannot monitor if the products are sold or credit. It is up to the retailer to decide if the product is
to be sold on credit or not (Baker, 2012).
The companies have also set high pricing tactic on
their products limiting its availability to the high-income earners in the region.
Entry barriers
also play a part in influencing competition in the market. The location has limited barriers,
which are favorable for the company to easily make entry and compete.
Competing with Market Leaders
The competition of Life Expression lies on other established companies in the region
with a loyal following and legendary user experience. It will be difficult for the company to
make entry into the Seattle market sorely with the dependent of retailers. The core drivers that
the people in the community are seeking in natural juice are a great taste in natural ingredients,
and the ability to improve their health and reduce inactivity. Life Expressions offer to-go RAW
natural juice on which the customers can easily grab their drinks on disposable cups on their way
to work, to the gym and even home. Setting low prices than those of the market leaders on the
product will provide a competitive edge of the company.
Company Differentiation from Competition
Life Expressions will produce RAW natural juice that balances tastes, healthy
ingredients, and productivity in one formula that will satisfy the demands of the consumers. To
differentiate itself from its competitors, Life Expressions will promote its products through
massive marketing campaigns. The company will use the local radio channels to advertise its
product and pass the message across Seattle. Life Expressions uses few tools, blenders, and
juicer, to make its RAW natural juice thus acting as a differentiation product from its
competitors. The company will save on additional costs and use the extra expenses on various
Research and Development (R&D) initiatives in Seattle.
Clarity of Company Message
The aspect of health promotion and functionality of the society define the target market
of Life Expression. The product attempts to support the intake of healthy fluids in the body. As
most people go for the unhealthy drinks, Life Expressions are a concoction of natural and readily
available products. Given that the product is dependent on fruits and vegetables from the farm, it
provides a platform for the residents to market their farm products. The product will promote
health productive lives for the people of Seattle.
It attempts to increase the alertness and
wakefulness and reduce cholesterol in the blood.
Marketing Vehicles
The primary marketing vehicle that will be used by the company is social media
marketing. There are various platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube that strive
promote the presence of a product and reach all prospective customers in Seattle. This marketing
vehicle involves the creating and sharing content on various networks in order to achieve the
branding and marketing goals (Kaur, 2016). The company should also use print advertising to
increase the recognition of its product. This tool entails the use of brochures and flyers to engage
the customers of the product’s specialties. The company will also use billboards to ensure that it
reaches a mass number of people on the streets of Seattle. Moreover, the company will also use
the broadcast advertising to market its product in the region. The precise forms of the broadcast
that best suit the company is the local radio channels in an attempt to reach a large number of
consumers at once (Beckner, 2014). The company will also make an online presence by creating
a unique website to advertise its products and engage the customers in events of the company.

Operations Plan
According to Manzini, Accorsi, & Bortolini, (2014) the operations plan will be aimed at
ensuring that the company is able to meet its objectives through a definition of all the detailed
actions that need to be carried out for this to be actualized. The tasks that need to be carried out
are defined together with the timelines, cost of carrying out the tasks and the indicators of

Key Aspects of Operations
Given the need to ensure operations efficiency, the company will operate from a
warehouse in Seattle from where all production facilities and back-office support will be
centralized. One part of the warehouse will act as the store where inventory, raw
materials, and supplies from suppliers will be stored. The next room which will also be a
store will act as the warehouse section where finished products are stored before being
transported to the market. This room will be designed to ensure that the drinks are stored
at the right temperature.
The rest of the warehouse will be sub-divided between the back office space and
the manufacturing space where the beverages will be brewed and packed before being
taken to storage.
The main advantage of using the warehouse is that since the company is expected
to grow at a fast rate, it will offer enough room for expansion and hence the company will
be able to always meet the market demand.
Cost and Time Efficiencies
To ensure that there is cost saving; the prepared juice will be stored in the storage
area for a week before it can be taken to the market. The production rate will be guided
by market demand meaning that there will some off time when the production process
will not be taking place. This will help in reducing any wastage that may result from
excess stock. Having the juice first stored will help in reducing the time to market as
ready-made stock can be easily transported to market on demand.
At the start of operations, most of the production and packaging work will be
manual which may be a bit cost effective but as time goes the preparation of juice
3
OPERATIONS, TECHNOLOGY, MANAGEMENT PLAN
together with its packaging will be automated hence reducing the production time and cost of
production.
Competitive Advantage
Given that the company is venturing into a market that already has established soft drinks
players, one aspect that the company will use to be competitive is the use of natural vegetables
and fruits from the surrounding farms to make healthy drinks. This will result in the production
of beverages that will promote healthy living among the people of Seattle. The drinks will be
low cost as compared to the ones available in the market hence creating a price competitive
advantage over the competition. This hence means that a differentiation strategy and a low-cost
strategy will be used both in the message shared to customers about the product and the
production process.
The raw materials that will be used to produce the product sold by the company will be
fruits and vegetables. These will be sourced from the local farms hence ensuring that the
delivery time and thus increasing the chances of meeting the customers demand within the
shortest time possible. Storage facilities for these raw materials will be provided by the company
at the warehouse. Other supplies will be sourced from local suppliers who are closest to the
company. All these strategies will be aimed at reducing the production costs.
The company will also spend a lot of money on marketing mainly focusing on various
under the line marketing strategies including the use of social networking platforms which have
been found to be highly effective in sharing the product message among the target market. Local
radio adverts and print media will also be used to emphasize the product advantages among the
target market.
Focused marketing will hence be used to ensure that the target market is
effectively reached.
4
OPERATIONS, TECHNOLOGY, MANAGEMENT PLAN
To ensure that the company operates at the lowest costs possible, the company
will first start by renting a warehouse that was previously being used by a beverage
company that closed down. This will ensure that they can use some of the production
facilities that the previous company was using. Equipment such as bottling equipment
and refrigerators will be rented before the company can afford to buy their own.
In terms of distribution, the company will start with a very efficient distribution
method which will be managed by the sales and marketing department by a part-time
employee to ensure its continued efficiency. Gi …
