editing paper 250 words sustainable energy

I need to see more citations and also less choppy paragraphs. There are few short paragraphs which could be included with longer paragraphspresenting your argument before presenting the counterargument.Be clear – are you using renewable/sustainable energy terms interchangeably ? This needs to be clear from the beginning.

Sustainable Energy
The primary economic benefit of utilizing sustainable energy is the reduction in operation
cost. Sustainable energy relies on the fuel that is mostly obtained from the natural resources in
the environment (Cavallaro 359). The majority of the natural resources are available, and hence
they contribute to a reduction in the cost of operation. On the contrary, some people argue that
the sustainable energy is associated with high costs due to the technology required in making the
energy. This paper aims to support the claim that sustainable energy requires minimum costs
since it relies on natural resources that make the fuel used in generating energy.
Renewable energy is one of the most beneficial energies of the world that is also
sustainable. The renewable energy can never run out as it depends on natural resources that are
readily available in the environment (Olla 79). Further, sustainable energy is valid and can be
easily maintained to support the world. It is also not exhaustible, and thus it will be available for
the generations to come.
Throughout human history, the energy sources that were used in homes to provide
lighting include fossil fuels. Also, the discovery of coal allowed the people to decide which
source of energy to utilize in their homes. Coal fueled the industrial revolution in the western
part of the world. Later on, the world learned how to tap oil and use it as a source of energy.

Further, other sources of energy were obtained from the plant materials such as grass, mosses,
and wood. The plant materials were mostly used in homesteads as a source of fuel.
In most homes, the fire was utilized as a source of energy for lighting and cooking. Also,
humans had found a way of using animal power to help in some of the duties at home and in the
fields. For instance, animals such as cattle would be used to plow land. The animal power was
seen as a source of renewable energy in the past. Humanity had continued to rely on this source
of energy from the animals and fuels before discovering oil as an alternative. Further, other
sources of energy such as the construction of dams and use of wind to generate power were
discovered later.
It is imperative to understand that sustainable energy is not exhaustible. It cannot deplete,
and hence it can also be referred to as renewable energy. This is the energy that does not cause
pollution to the environment (Galarraga et. al 60). It is a benefit to the environment and the
world because it does not require a high cost of operation. The majority of the fuel needed for the
sustainable energy is obtained from natural sources and hence needs fewer costs to manage the
Also, the fact that the renewable energy which is a form of sustainable energy produces
little or no waste product makes it a less costly form of energy in the environment. The
renewable energy relies on natural sources such as water which is obtained from the rains, wind,
sunshine and clear skies (Dunlap 204). The presence of the natural sources to produce energy
makes the renewable energy sustainable since it cannot deplete.
On the contrary, critics argue that the main disadvantage of the sustainable energy is the
fact that it relies on natural sources. They argue that the reliability of natural sources for energy

makes the sustainable energy a costly alternative. For instance, the water required in generating
power in the dams depends on rain. Rain is believed to be an unpredictable and inconsistent
source of water. Thus, critics maintain that since the world is not aware of when to expect the
rain, they cannot fully rely on water as a source of energy. Also, wind, sunshine and clear skies
are unpredictable and thus making the sustainable energy, not the best alternative.
The majority of the critics claim that fossil fuels or traditional fuels are the best sources
of energy since they are not inconsistent such as the renewable sources. They argue that
traditional fuels are readily available in the environment. These fuels are not unpredictable and
can be relied upon to generate power. Further, the critics claim that the traditional fuels do not
require high cost of capital to manage and maintain like the renewable sources. Hydro generators
and wind turbines are seen as some of the equipment that makes the renewable energy sources
expensive. Traditional fuels do not require the costly technology to generate power.
Sustainable energy is still the best option in harnessing power as opposed to the
traditional fuels. Although critics associate sustainable energy with high costs, the traditional
fuels are more costly. For instance, traditional fuels are the cause of most of the pollution in the
environment. The fossil fuels contribute to the carbon emission in the environment thus polluting
the air. Further, the traditional fuels produce more waste products as opposed to the renewable
energy which produces little or no waste materials (Wengenmayr et. al, 10). As such, the waste
products produced by the traditional fuels such as chemicals and carbon dioxide contribute to
environmental degradation.
The pollution caused in the environment by the traditional fuels is a cost to the economy.
The economy has to struggle to find ways in which it deals with the pollution and waste products

in the environment. As such, the approach to dealing with pollution and waster is a costly
initiative. On the other hand, the sustainable energy has minimal impact on the surrounding since
it is linked to any pollution.
Sustainable energy is the best alternative to utilize at home and in the organizations.
Businesses should consider using sustainable energy as it has minimal effect on the environment.
It does not contribute to the pollution of the environment, unlike the traditional fuels which
expose the people to waste products and chemicals (de 440). Although sustainable energy is
dependent on natural resources that are unpredictable such as the sun and water as well as the
wind, it is less costly regarding dealing with pollution. On the other hand, the traditional fuels
may not rely on inconstant sources, but they are more costly in that they contribute to
environmental degradation.
Sustainable energy is not a costly source of power. It cannot deplete, and thus humanity
can be assured of a continued supply of power and energy. On the other hand, critics should
understand that despite the sustainable energy needing advanced technology such as wind
turbines to harness power it ensures that the environment is safe from any pollution. As such, the
traditional fuel is more costly since it increases the pollution in the environment by emitting
chemicals in the surrounding and producing more waste products.
