Dear Recipient:
I am writing to express my interest in the position of Security Supervisor at the Hickory, NC location as posted on the
Corning Website. I feel I am an excellent candidate and believe that my work experience in law enforcement and as a
supervisor will be beneficial to Corning. As sergeant over the Narcotics/Vice division, I am the first line supervisor to
multiple employees and responsible for overseeing and documenting performance for the division as a whole as well as
for each individual. I oversee and validate the hours each employee works and submit same to the payroll department.
Having worked as a task force officer with ICE, I have developed and maintained healthy working relationship with
federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
My experience working undercover has reinforced my ability to adapt to ever evolving circumstances and assess the
security risk to my team and to myself. Serving as a member of the Special Response Team (SWAT team) I have
experience carefully evaluating even the smallest nuances that pose a security threat. SRT encourage innovation and
creativity as new security threats and obstacles arise. Having served as a Field Training Officer, I understand the
importance of effectively communicating threat to security to both seasoned officers and new officers while focusing on
preparing those I am training to respond appropriately when these threats are encountered.
My experience as a law enforcement officer, more specifically as a narcotics investigator, allows me to approach new
investigations despite the subject of same, with both tenacity and practicality. I was also responsible for assisting in
Internal Affairs investigations which provides me experience in conducting investigations discretely and with the utmost
integrity.
