level of performance from employees. Focusing on employee needs creates a significant
environment where it is possible to have organizational success. Business leaders need to
effectively understand underlying measures which can be put in place and promote positive
organizational development. Maslow?s hierarchy of needs focuses on critical employee
needs, which are crucial in motivating employees and ensure high retention and satisfaction
levels. However not all managers focus on Maslow?s hierarchy of needs which results in
varying organizational results characterized by employee dissatisfaction and high worker
turnover. Employees can only commit themselves to a given organization when their needs
