distinct positions on the issue?
First, the effects of corruption-control measures on globalization are significant in
developed economies are significant. Secondly, the high-level of corruption in
developing countries is caused by an increased emphasis on globalization.
c. Create the title of your Policy Analysis. When creating a title for your Policy
Analysis, consider how you can simultaneously capture the attention of your
readers and communicate your position.
The Utilization of Globalization as an Effective Anti-Corruption Instrument

corruption in developing countries.

corruption is increasing the developmental challenges of low-income countries in

d. Which groups, individuals, and communities (stakeholders) are affected by the
issues that you will be analyzing?
The identified groups that are affected by the increasing role of globalization in
the high rate of corruption in developing low-wage workers that constitute a
significant portion of the labor force.
e. Research the ways that these groups’ goals and interests might be altered by the
policies you are proposing. Try to write out concise explanations of each
group’s goals and the things that they value.
Evidence from developed countries shows that globalization is an effective
instrument in their fight against corruption. In contrast, the concept has a
negligible effect on the anti-corruption agenda of low-income nations. Therefore,
the proposed policies would highlight strategies that these developing nations can
be adopted to ensure that multinational companies avoid corrupt practices in the
recruitment of low-income workers, compensation, product dumping, and work
conditions among others
f. Research the ways that organizations or communities might change or adapt to
upheavals in the societies in which they exist. Explain the circumstances in
which these changes might take place. Next, consider other changes and
transformations that these groups could undergo and summarize those in a
similar way.
Changes occur in societies due to the political stability or instability,
technological advancements, and economic factors. The impact of these changes,
when they occur, is usually the redistribution of wealth and factors of production
due to the changes in power and authority of the leaders of the society and their
interests. Also, these transformations impact the citizens because they would be
required to undergo adjustments to the lifestyle as determined by the policies or
agenda of the current or existing authorities.

Historical data on the economic impact of changes in labor deployment and the
requirement for employment would be used as evidence to support the assertions
made in this section of the paper. Specifically, information in this section of the
paper would be based on the evolution of labor and the development of various
societies, as well as the emergence of the knowledge society.
3. RATIONALE AND JUSTIFICATION FOR YOUR POSITION
In this section, you will compile a rationale and justification for your position.
a. Are stakeholders groups exposed to unjustifiable risks? Are the stakeholders
you have identified especially vulnerable?
The lack of the impact of globalization on the anti-corruption efforts of
developing nations has created developmental issues that are threatening the
human development capacity of people from developing nations. Therefore, lowincomes are experiencing economic hardship due to low wages, poor management
of their health, and job insecurity among others
b. Are any of your stakeholders marginalized within society? Are they part of a
highly privileged social group?
Low-income workers are the most marginalized members of the society because
of low representation in the decision-making process for policies that have an
impact on their lives. Unfortunately, they are not part of a privileged social group
because of their socioeconomic status.
c. What are the likely consequences of ignoring stakeholders’ needs? Remember
to write concise answers and to consider a range of alternative outcomes –
never claim that one set of consequences is inevitable.
One of the consequences of ignoring the needs of stakeholders is non-inclusion in
the processes used for developing economic and social policies. An additional
implication is the inability of the stakeholders to improve their economic

conditions despite the availability of political avenues to do so. Secondly, the
effect of failing to address the needs of major stakeholders through the
development of policies is the marginalization of a section of the population that
leads to disparities in income distribution and social advancements.
4. PROPOSE A COURSE OF ACTION
In this section, you will propose a course of action in order to address the selected issue.
a. Position statement: What is your position on the issue? Is it specific and clear?
State it in one or two sentences.
Developing nations need to increase their emphasis on the sociopolitical
dimensions of international integration as means to making their anti-corruption
efforts effective against practices that worsen the poor economic conditions of
low-wage earners in the society.
b. Propose a course of action: What should be done to solve the problem?
Consider the broad approach and specific practical steps or measures that need
to be taken and by whom. Is the solution you propose feasible and
implementable?
First, identify areas of globalization that can be used as an anti-corruption
instruments. Second, determine and measure the social, economic, and political
implications of corruption and how these consequences encourage the
globalization of corruption. Analyze the governance systems used by developed
nations to address the problem. Finally, formulate and implement public policies
that would address the problems. These solutions are feasible and implementable
because they consider the factors responsible for the problem and rely on
empirical evidence from developed nations.

The effectiveness of globalization as policy instrument tools for fighting
corruption.
d. If your policy-making choices are relatively limited, justify your choice my
referring to your position statement and to the outcomes of any alternative
choices.
The policy-making choices for this solution are not limited in any way because
there is a global focus on anti-corruption measures.
e. Consider the practical factors affecting your policy. How hard will it be for the
government to implement your plan? What costs will the government have to
pay? Is the government’s ability to act or to extend its authority limited by laws
or international agreements?
The economic dimension of fighting corruption in the context of international
integration is identified as one of the factors that would affect the implementation
of the proposed policy. Therefore, the need for foreign direct investment to boost
the economic activities of the nation would b a major limiting factor for the
implementation of the proposed plan. While the ability of the government to act is
not limited by both domestic and international laws, the availability of limited
financial resources will impair the successful adoption and implementation of the
proposed public policy.
f. What will the political impact of your policy be? How will the changes that you
want the state to bring about affect its authority? What is the political cost of
the policy?
The political impacts of this policy are positives for the government of developing
nations because it would strengthen their authority since the affect stakeholder
would experience economic advancement. Also, increase in per capita income of
the people would be recognized in the international community thereby giving the
authority the political relevance to shaping global political decisions.

it will have. If your policy responses are relatively limited, you should use this section to
justify your choice by using a lot of your available word-count to explain why the
decision that you support will have a positive impact on the state – explain, for instance,
why ratifying a trade agreement will be good for your state’s exporters and agricultural
industry.
a. What evidence will you use to support this section of your paper?
Articles from peer-reviewed journals, research findings on the subject, and
empirical data from the international development agencies such as the World
Bank and the International Monetary Fund among others are the sources of
evidence to support this section of the paper.

introduce and define the issue, to show the importance of the issue, to support
your position, to refute counter-arguments, etc.).
The sources identified about contain substantial evidence to support all elements
of the paper
c. Do you have the range of evidence you need to support different points of your
argument? Match evidence and sources to different points of your arguments.
The range of evidence includes the evolution of the concept of globalization, its
role in international integration, and anti-corruption efforts of nations. Also, there
is a need to conduct a comparative analysis of how globalization can be used to
tackle corruption in developing nations.
