appropriate conversation that demonstrates contemplation and reflection of the topic at hand.

Student communicates coherently and effectively in writing, follows assignment directions,
demonstrates ability to comprehend or analyze the subject matter, and uses proper grammar
Respect and Diversity:
Student shows respect for the professor, himself/herself, and others while in the classroom
environment. Student exhibits respect for others through use of manners and protocol. He/she
values diverse views. The student actively and enthusiastically participates in group activities
and takes responsibility for his/her actions in the classroom.
Student is consistently prepared for class with required materials including textbook(s), a
calculator, reference materials, and assignments. He/she is prepared to ask questions about the
course projects, assignments, or materials as needed.
Though attendance is not specifically addressed in the rubric, it will impact your score. There
